In fact, the average rent price have risen 7% in the past year, while average household incomes have only increased 1.8%– making it that much harder for people to afford their rent.

In Georgia, there was one eviction notice filed for every five rental households. Many of these reported cases were renters who were simply unable to keep up with rent increases.
